[Error: unknown template qotd]In a word: No.

In a more expounded answer: Monogamy is not a natural state of being.  If you look at the way other animals interact and reproduce, they do not stay with the same partner.  They mate then move on.

Perhaps I'll expound on this more later.  For now, though, chew on that.

So..

I'm here now. Not sure why I'm here or why I'll use this journal. So far, I don't see any real differences between here and LJ. Maybe I'll just use it as a backup for LJ. Who knows.

High School ended for us years ago.. now grow up and get over the high school pettiness and jealousy.

Not everyone gets along. That's LIFE.
Not everyone likes the people you like. That's LIFE.
Not everyone hates the people you hate. FUCKING DEAL.

I've had enough. If I ever find out that people on my flist are acting like high school drama whores, they WILL be gone, no matter how long I've known them or how much I like them. I'm fucking tired of it.

[Error: unknown template qotd]The whining babble of my life started April 29, 2001 - I was whining about Rob.. how typical.  It's amazing how much has changed since then.  I still whine and babble, but I'm in a far better place in my life.
bellasera: ([mood] second chances don't matter)
[Error: unknown template qotd]Yes and No.  In general, second chances don't matter because people don't change.  I am the kind of person who will give a person a second chance, because I would want to be given one myself.  The problem is, 9 times out of 10, the person hasn't changed or learned from their previous mistakes.  So, it really all depends on the person and whether it has been proven that they have the capacity for change.  It's selective and subjective.  I would give certain people in my life second chances, and have, but there are others who will never, ever, get a second chance again.

bellasera: ([holiday] new year)
[Error: unknown template qotd] Ironically, this is the first year since Rob and I have been together that he does not have to work in the morning.  Guess what we'll be doing? Same thing we do every year.  I don't mind, really.  It's too freaking cold to go out.  It snowed last night, which is fine by me.  We weren't planning to go out, since there are too many stupid people out on NYE.  We're gonna have chinese for dinner, chill and do absolutely nothing.  I'll probably crochet some.  I have a bunch of projects I want to finish.  Meh.  Anyway.
bellasera: ([twilight] You are fairly ideal in every)
[Error: unknown template qotd]The only movie we planned to see in the Theater was Twilight.  We sat that the other night and I absolutely *loved* it.  At some point, I'll post more about it, but not tonight.  I'm not a big theater goer, since it costs so much money (mostly for snacks) to go.  When we go, we usually do dinner first, so that's an additional cost too.  For instance, seeing Twilight cost $23 for the movie and snacks (popcorn and soda *only*) and dinner cost around $10 cuz we went cheap and had fast food.

[Error: unknown template qotd]7th Heaven.  I still watch the re-runs almost every day, but it was such a great show with a great theme.  I want it back.

[Error: unknown template qotd]My husband is more of the asking for directions type. He does not like being lost.  Me? I don't mind it so much.  If I have to be somewhere on time, then I'll stop for directions, but otherwise, I'd be more inclined to drive around a little bit and find it on my own.
bellasera: ([twilight] dawn has broken)
[Error: unknown template qotd]Vampires.  Seriously.  Werewolves are okay, but the whole shapeshifting thing wierds me out.  I'd much rather be a stone cold vamp than a shapeshifting wolf.

[Error: unknown template qotd]Not with books, no, but I felt that way about television shows.  For instance, I adored Saved By The Bell and Charles In Charge, but now to watch them, they disturb me greatly.  There's a lot of the older shows that I feel that way about too, like Different Strokes and Cheers.  Loved them.

[Error: unknown template qotd]Oh god, I think I would have to say my collection of books.  I can live without anything else, including the computer, but I can't live without books.  Music is a close second.

[Error: unknown template qotd]I wouldn't create a holiday. In fact, if it was in my power, I would get rid of some of them.  Especially the artificial holidays that are meant to boost the sales of candy, cards and crap.  Do we need Valentine's Day? It's a nice idea, but shouldn't we be telling our loved ones that we love them and showing them that we love them when we want to, not when others wants us to?  Halloween is another one that annoys me as well.  We're telling our kids it's alright to go run around the neighborhood and scare people for the sake of getting candy.

Not to mention the fact that there are more and more holidays that cause school to be closed.  Our children and our future suffer from this.  There is nothing to be gained from a child having a day off of school for Columbus Day.  Why not be in school, learning about Columbus? I understand that the teachers need more time off, but they get a summer vacation, a Christmas vacation, a spring break even.  They get more time off than Joe Blow that works at the Texaco station!  And that is where our future generations are going to end up with the length of time they are not in school.

What's next? A week off so they can have a study week?

[Error: unknown template qotd]I'm currently reading an ARC of Lori Handeland's Any Given Doomsday and would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys vampire, werewolves, supernatural books.  It's not my normal choice in that genre, but I'm enjoying it.

Reading is one of the few things I do that relaxes me, it keeps me sane, keeps me from ripping someone's head off.  It also gives me a way to escape when I hate the world, which is how I feel today.  I hate the world and almost all the people in it, so it's been my way to escape.

What would I recommend? Anything that I've read.  If I don't like it, I won't read it and if I won't read it, I won't recommend it.  Twilight, Harry Potter, Anita Blake, Kitty Norville, Merry Gentry, anything by Nicholas Sparks or John Grisham.
